₹1,662-crore package approved for Gurugram Metro Phase 2
The Haryana government has approved a ₹1,662-crore tender package for civil works on the 15.3-km elevated metro stretch from Sector 9 to Cyber City. Fourteen stations are proposed, and tenders were planned for the first week of October; the full corridor is targeted for 2029.
यह क्यों ज़रूरी है: For deals near proposed stations, verify the construction timeline, the final station location and walking access separately.
State approves Hero Honda–Umang Bhardwaj Chowk elevated road
The Haryana government has approved a 2.25-km elevated road from Hero Honda Chowk to Umang Bhardwaj Chowk and asked GMDA to prepare a new DPR and carry out the project. NHAI's earlier proposal had estimated about ₹181 crore; shifting of utility lines is still incomplete.
यह क्यों ज़रूरी है: For projects that depend on connectivity between the Dwarka Expressway and NH-48, weigh construction disruption along with the likely benefit.
DTCP proposes a prohibited-list model for land-use rules
Haryana's DTCP has put out a draft that replaces the current list of permitted activities with a list of prohibited activities; any activity not expressly prohibited could be considered, subject to other statutory approvals. The department has invited objections and suggestions within 30 days; this is not yet a final rule.
यह क्यों ज़रूरी है: Do not assume a plot's use is automatically allowed; have a lawyer check the draft, the zoning and other statutory approvals.
DPR ready for MG Road–Andheria Mor elevated corridor
NHAI has finalised the DPR for upgrading MG Road from the Haryana border to Andheria Mor in Delhi; the proposal includes an elevated section of about 4.5 km at an estimated cost of about ₹980 crore. Final approval from the Union ministry is pending, and the feasibility of widening and possible elevated sections on the Gurugram stretch will be studied.
यह क्यों ज़रूरी है: Look at the future connectivity upside for MG Road assets, but do not price them as if the DPR were an approved or under-construction project.
Order to freeze accounts of 71 developers to recover ₹446 crore
Acting on pending HRERA recovery certificates, the Gurugram administration has ordered the immediate freezing of bank accounts of 71 developers and stepped up property attachment proceedings. The dues are put at about ₹446 crore; in some cases the certificates are more than four years old.
यह क्यों ज़रूरी है: Before buying resale or under-construction inventory, check the promoter's HRERA orders, recovery certificates and financial risk.
